Chaval heated gloves are sold exclusively on this website

Chaval ALPHAHEAT™ technology maintains steady comfortable warmth without a bulky, breakable, and power-hungry thermostatic system. When a finger gets cold, so does a proprietary polymer layer imbedded in the fabric of the finger, which automatically increases the polymer's conductivity and its production of heat. As your cold finger warms to a comfortable temperature, ALPHAHEAT™ rapidly redirects power to heat other cooler parts of your hand. This localized micro-regulation minimizes energy use so that a comfortable, toasty temperature can be maintained for a very long time.

For many skiers, the accumulation of some moisture within the glove is commonplace. Until now, the only choices were to either live with the resulting discomfort and unpleasant odor, or purchase a bulky table-top glove drying system. Chaval's tradition of innovation and market firsts continues with our new ACTIVEDRY™ technology. ACTIVEDRY™ is built into our charging system and will simultaneously recharge and dry your Chaval gloves, reducing normal drying time by up to 50%. Reducing drying time not only ensures optimal comfort with every use, but will also help prevent unpleasant odor and bacteria growth. Just attach the gloves to the ACTIVEDRY™ charger and your gloves will simultaneously charge, heat and dry with absolutely no increase in recharge time.

Simply use the provided charger to recharge Chaval heated gloves through any common electrical outlet. Refer to the included Instructions For Use for a simple step-by-step process.

A full charging of the gloves from empty takes 5-7 hours. Once the gloves have been fully charged, the charge indicator lights on the charger will turn green.

We've designed Chaval gloves to be exceptionally tough to stand up to the rigors of outdoor occupations and sports.

The ALPHAHEAT™ technology in Chaval gloves will provide up to 6 hours of continuous heat per charge, depending on environmental conditions and the user's anatomy. If you need more than 6 hours of heat, simply turn your gloves off when possible to conserve power for when it is needed.

Yes. The advanced materials used in Chaval gloves are engineered to preserve water vapor transport out of the gloves while maintaining a waterproof barrier.

Cleaning and properly treating your gloves will help to ensure they have a long useful life. We recommend using SNO-SEAL products.
  • Take extra care to follow our directions for application. Click on the "LEATHER CARE AND TREATMENT" link in the footer of this website to access them.
  • Be careful when handling your outdoor gear as hard, sharp edges and corners are the most likely causes of damage to your gloves.
WARNING: Applying Sno-Seal to the suede areas of the glove is not recommended. Sno-Seal will change the texture and absorbency of the suede, decreasing its effectiveness as an absorbent wipe.
WARNING: Do not to apply any external heat. Using an external heat source can permanently damage the heating system inside your Chaval gloves and possibly render your gloves unsafe for use.

If the gloves are immersed in water, immediately deactivate them, drain the water and thoroughly dry. Drying temperature must not exceed 60 °C (140 °F). Do not dry Chaval gloves on a heater or in a clothes dryer.

  • Keep your gloves out of the sun or a hot car (including the glove box)! Heat will degrade the performance of the battery system the most.
  • Store them in a cool, dry room (from 5 °C [41 °F] to 20 °C[68 °F]). Proper storage of your gloves maximizes battery performance and durability.
  • Do not store your gloves fully discharged. If discharged, charge for about 3 hours before storage.
  • In case of long-term storage, recharge your gloves every 6 months for about 3 hours.
  • Do not leave your gloves connected to the charging system for extended periods of time.
  • Store and transport your gloves with the charging and switch connectors disconnected from one another to ensure the gloves are not activated and the batteries not unintentionally drained.

If you feel the battery system has been damaged or performance has degraded over time and you would like to continue using the gloves, Chaval Outdoor will replace the battery system for a fee. Please contact Chaval Outdoor to arrange for a battery system replacement*.
*It is important to note that there are no user-replaceable parts within your Chaval heated glove. Any work on the battery or heating system within your Chaval heated gloves must only be performed by Chaval Outdoor.

We recycle the lithium based energy source within the Chaval gloves at no charge to keep lithium out of the environment.
